A Dog by Any Other Name...

So we got a new dog last week and I thought I should post a few images to try and get some ideas for names... (I'm liking Splinter...if you don't get the reference...well you just don't get the reference :)

This dog (I'm told) is a Carin/Yorkie mix, but to me looks like the love child of Toto from the Wizard of Oz and a sewer rat. It's sweet as can be and playful as a dog can get, but it is STRANGE looking! LOL!

Fun with the 85 f/1.4

About two weeks ago I rented a lens I'm considering purchasing, the Nikon 85mm f/1.4 D, and it is a BEAUTY! Gorgeous bokeh, razor thin depth of field, amazingly sharp... however I'm gonna hold out for Nikon to release an AF-S version as it is a little slow to focus in low-light (please, Nikon, pretty please release one soon!) This lens is a more than a decade old design, but is absolutely a legend, which is only matched by Canon's 85 f/1.2. I used this lens on a dual portrait session down in old town Leesburg that weekend with two high-school seniors, best-friends: Regina and Natalia. I figured I should upload some of my favorite images from that session, since I'd been slacking on my updates lately. The fully gallery is up on www.noahhayes.net go check it out!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Last week I got a chance to go down to Orlando to visit my sister who recently got a job at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom. I've been to Disney a ton before, but had never brought a decent camera on previous trips, so I had to bring my camera along and take some fun photos while hanging out with the fam. Enjoy!
