Smithsonian Shoot

The other day I went to hang out in DC and give a little hands-on training to a new photographer, Jermaine. I hadn't been to the Smithsonian in FOREVER, so we hit up the Natural History Museum to give him some challenging indoor light to get under control. After the museums closed (way too early if you ask me) we went out on the Mall and took some exterior shots of the other museums and the Capitol. Here's a couple from the day.

Reanna and Jeremy - Atlantis Hotel, Paradise Island - Bahama Destination Wedding

This past week I was in sunny (and humid) Paradise Island in the beautiful Bahamas with Armin and his wife Denise for Reanna and Jeremy's wedding. We arrived on Tuesday and scoped out the huge resort and then crashed in the hotel after a long day. Day two we got a chance to relax on the not-so lazy river and shoot down the famous slides in the Mayan Temple, before getting ready for their rehearsal that evening. Thursday was their special day, and we were so lucky to only get about 30 minutes of rain about an hour before the wedding. There was some great cloud cover that made for beautiful light and bearable temperatures for Reanna in her stunning custom made dress! Their reception was at the incredible Fathoms, which built around a huge tank filled with fish, manta ray and sharks! They'll be spending the next week relaxing in Paradise! Photos were taken for Armin DeFiesta Photography

...we had some "wedding crashers" hanging out in the water at the beach!

...never thought I'd see live fish that close to a wedding cake!

...these guys caught me by suprise while I was changing memory cards!

...and to top it all off - Reanna's "Top Model" pose!

Allison and Dustin - Chesapeake Bay Maryland Wedding

Last weekend, Erin and I had the pleasure of capturing Allison and Dustin's wedding at the incredible Chesapeake Beach Club, as associates for Armin Defiesta Photography. The venue was stunning, and was made even more incredible with the brilliant sunset that dipped behind the Bay Bridge, which served as the backdrop for their ceremony. You may remember Allison and Dustin's engagement session that Erin and I shot last October in Georgetown, and as before they were such a fun couple to shoot! Be sure to check out Erin's blog too!

Look at how happy they are! So in love!

Pre-ceremony cheer!

Great toasts! The Matron of Honor even made a Wedding Crashers and Anchorman reference in hers!

A tower of cupcakes instead of a traditional cake, very cool
