Maserati Good Times - Nikon D300S Test of Video and Stills

My D300S arrived yesterday, and I felt compelled to go out and give it a run for it's money, buy testing out video quality of fast moving objects (driving with it showed a bit of rolling shutter problems, but acceptable until something comes along that doesn't have that problem) and low light performance. I completely forgot to set the default type of photos to RAW, so the images in the video and posted below are straight-out-of-camera JPEGs, I simply brought the ones posted into Lightroom to resize and add the watermark. Hope this is at least a little interesting to you, I definitely had fun, and was surprised no cops showed up to ask me what I was doing laying on the ground next to a nice Maserati with a bunch of flashes gripped onto sign posts and railings.

Northern Virginia Golf Photographer - Manassas Stonewall Golf Club - Pro Am Charity Tournament

On Wednesday, I had the privilege to document the 2009 Stonewall Golf Club Pro Am Charity Tournament dedicated to raising funds for the local cancer treatment center. We were blessed with clear blue skies all day, and even though the wind was whipping pretty hard, the overall scores were excellent from the players. There were 28 teams in total, with 1 pro PGA player and 3 amateurs (who for the most part were giving the pros a run for their money) in each team. At each of the three Par 3 holes, there were hole-in-one competitions at which, anyone who managed to make a hole-in-one, won a brand new car! There was even a $100,000 shootout at the end, which remained unclaimed, but two individuals came very close. After the round, the teams came inside for appetizers and to bid on various auctions in order to raise additional funds for the cancer center. If you'd like to go play the beautiful course, or find out how you can participate next year, go to www.stonewallgolfclub.com

Washington DC Wedding Photographer - Arlington Westin Hotel - Ann Chi and Robert

Ann Chi and Robert tied the knot at the beautiful Westin Hotel in Arlington, and Moshe Zusman and I were there to capture and document their day. Pink was the color of the day, and it was popping up everywhere, from Ann Chi's shoes to the flowers in her room, to the paper umbrellas her family carried and the decorations at the ceremony. Ann Chi was grinning ear to ear overtime she and Robert caught each other's eyes, and were inseperable the entire day!

P.S. I almost forgot to explain! They had the same group that performed at the 4th of July Celebration in DC perform the dancing lions at their reception! It was one of the coolest, unexpected things I've ever seen at a wedding!
